INTRODUCTION AND AVAILABLE STORIES

Introduction

iceberg Over 100,000 images, mostly of Polar Regions make up this unique collection. Bryan & Cherry Alexander make frequent visits to Siberia, Greenland, Alaska, Canada, Arctic Scandinavia and Antarctica. Now you have the opportunity to search these images online on the POLAR SEARCH pages of their website, but remember, that very unusual request may be amongst the images that remain unscanned. Give them a call or e-mail to check.

Since 1971 their file has been a constantly expanding record of these vast areas. The main focus of the collection is the Indigenous People of the North. The way they live, their land and the wildlife they share it with.

Tourism is discovering the Polar Regions and Bryan & Cherry have been documenting this, Russian Icebreakers, Zodiacs and ice, Tourists in hot springs, at the North Pole. It was on one of these icebreaker trips to Antarctica that Cherry got the opportunity to photograph penguins on a blue iceberg. One of these pictures won her the BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year in 1995.

They represent the work of other specialists. Paul Drummond, Ann Hawthorne, Steve Pinfield & David Rootes all work in inaccessible areas of the Antarctic & Sub Antarctic Islands. John Hyde specialises in the marine wildlife of South East Alaska. Wendy Else Haas worked on Sealing and Whaling ships as well as taking great landscapes of the north of Norway

emperor We have worked on editorial assignments for many of the world's leading magazines including Time, GEO, Vogue, The Sunday Times, Le Figaro, Smithsonian and International Wildlife. Many of these assignments involved working outside the polar regions on a wide variety of subjects that range from the British legal system to native peoples of the Indonesian rain forests!

Above all, we can offer high quality photographs and in depth knowledge of the polar regions. If you think we can help you with your photographic requirements please contact us.
